The source of this information is "Seed of Simon - Ancestors and Descendants of John and Susannah Simmons" compiled by Dolores Simmons Redding. Published by Mitchell Printing, Lakeland, Florida. Farmington – Mrs. Josephine Muntz, 87, died May 1 in Sacred Heart hospital, Ft. Madison. Death terminated a long period of impaired health. A life resident of Van Buren county, Mrs. Muntz was the widow of Jacob Muntz, who died Nov. 2 1950. They had been married on March 18, 1884. They had lived in Farmington for about 6 years. Mr. and Mrs. Muntz had 10 chil|dren, all of whom live within 30 miles of Farmington. They are: Mrs. Alden Watts, Mrs. Arthur Von Seggen and Frank Watts, all of Bonaparte; Elmer Muntz and Mrs. wilbern Gee, both of Ft. Madison, and Robert and Earl Muntz and Mrs. Ernes. Newman, Mrs. George Wells and Mrs. Clyde Boyd, all of Farmington. Also surviving are 32 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Services were held Friday at the Church of the Nazarene, Rev. John Ellis officiated, and burial was in Thompson cemetery.
