Bio

The Winona Times Winona, MS February 3, 1956 Mrs. Bettie Carroll Mrs. Bettie Carroll died at the residence of a son, C. S. Carroll of Grenada, on January 24th, following several years illness. Services were held at Bethel Church Wednesday afternoon, January 25th, at three o'clock with Rev. R. T. Hollingsworth of Duck Hill, Rev. W. M. Hull of Winona and Rev. Arthur Sledge of Jackson officiating. Oliver Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Mrs. Carroll, who was 75, was born in Carroll County and was married to W. R. Carroll in 1902. She was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church in Carroll County. Survivors include her husband, W. R. Carroll, Route 1, Grenada; two daughters, Mrs. J. C. Byrd and Mrs. Aaron Lott, Grenada; three sons, C. S. and T. I. Carroll, Grenada and R. A. Carroll, Ludlow; and two sisters, Mrs. Jim Carroll, Grenada and Miss Carrie Loden, Carrollton. Pallbearers were Hilton Lott, Edward Lance, Harold Byrd, Charles Carroll, Jake Tribble and Jerry Fowler.
