Charles Koenig GALVESTON — Charles Koenig, 88, of Galveston, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 1995 at St. Mary's Hospital in Galveston. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Alta Loma, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 1955 at the funeral home. Mr. Koenig was born October 3, 1906 in Gonzales County, Texas. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, a resident of Galveston since 1940, a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Iron Ship Builders and Helpers of America. He was employed in November 1940 at Todd's Shipyard as a welder and retired in October 1971. He was born the son of the late Ernest and Anna Louise Koenig. Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Leona M. Koenig of Galveston; daughter, Charlene K Parker and husband V. G. of Atlanta, GA; son, Wallace'D. Koenig and wife Joyce A. of Houston, Texas; sister, Minnie Bartlett of San Antonio; six grandchildren: Laura P. Joost and husband Scott, of Lake Charles, LA, Gary D. Koenig and wife Tish of Richmond, Texas, David W. Koenig and wife Kate of Richmond, Texas, Gordon C. Parker of Atlanta, GA, Travis L. Parker of Atlanta, GA, Carol A. Koenig of Houston, Texas; great grandchild, Laura C. Koenig of Richmond, Texas; step great grandson, Neal A. Hoffman of Richmond, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Gary D. Koenig, David W. Koenig, Gordon C. Parker, Travis L. Parker, Scott F. Joost, O. Dee Bartlett.
