BROWN, JAMES LEHI (son of John Brown and Elizabeth Crosby). Born Nov. 26, 1860, Lehi, Utah. Married Selena Curtis Sept. 13, 1883, Salt Lake City (daughter of George Curtis and Emma Whaley), who was born Nov. 23, 1862. Their children: Sytha b. Dec. 10, 1884, m. Eugene Lusk Roberts; Gertrude b. Feb. 2, 1886, m. Andrew Theodore Rassmussen; James Curtis b. Feb. 9, 1888; Emma b. March 8, 1891, and Pauline b. Nov. 16, 1892, died; Hugh Crosby b. Aug. 15, 1895; Harold Whaley b. June 22, 1898; John Lyman b. Jan. 31, 1900; Ruth b. Nov. 4, 1903. Married Ella Larson June 18, 1908, Salt Lake City (daughter of Niels Peter Larson and Karen K. Swensen of Pleasant Grove, Utah, pioneers 1859). She was born Feb. 22,1871. Only child: Helen b. Dec. 30, 1909. Families resided Pleasant Grove and Provo. High priest; superintendent Sunday schools Pleasant Grove; counselor to President Leonard Harrington of stake Sunday schools. President normal department Brigham Young University (Provo) and teacher of chemistry.
