Bio

Eva Thelma Rodeback Bishop, 85, died on Thursday, May 3, 2007, peacefully at her daughters home in Sandy. She was born August 12, 1921 in Provo, Utah to her parents David & Eliza Rodeback. She married Ralph A. Bishop on 16th September 1943 in Provo, Utah. Eva was an excellent seamstress and not only made beautiful clothing for her family, but for many others as well. She was skilled at crocheting and made many dollies as gifts. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society for many years. She loved her home, family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Ettie Forcade Fuller; children, Mary (Delano) Backus, Moad, UT. (Serving in Oaxaco Temple Mission); Anita (Michael) Thorpe, Cottonwood Heights, UT; Joyce (Edward) Short, Sandy, UT; Kenneth Bishop, Orem, UT; Paul (Pam) Bishop, Sterling Heights, MI; 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sisters, Eliza & Edna and two brothers, David & Vern. She will be missed by many. We are very grateful to her close friends and ward members for their kindness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at 12 noon, at the Stonebridge 2nd Ward Chapel, 575 South 400 West, Orem. Family and friends may visit from 10:15-11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be held in the Orem City Cemetery. Published in The Daily Herald May 06, 2007
