JACOB TAYLOR KING III Was born on November 16, 1941 in Wilmer Hutchins, TX and passed away on July 22, 2013 in Dallas, TX. ∼ Obituary JACOB TAYLOR. King III November 16, 1941 - January 22, 2013 Jake is preceded in death by his parents, Jake T. and Hazel M. King; wife, Patricia Myers-King; sister, Patsy Graham; great-grandson, Ethan Williams; and brother-in-law, Charles Marcell He is survived by his wife and best friend of 36 years, Sarah King. His children, Donna Mansfield and husband Steve, Mark Smith and wife Teri, Joseph King, Shara King, David King and wife Gena. Grandchildren, Rachael, Brandy and husband Gerald, Lindsey and husband Dante, Patti and husband Gary, Bud, Ashley, Brittany and husband Baltazar, Turner and wife Karly, Chelsea and husband Andrew, Jamie, Meredith, Jessica and Ava. Great-Grandchildren, Crystal, Keely, Calob, Kayla, Adriana, Evelyn, Donovan, Georgia, Judy, Kelsey, Emma, Gauge, and Jake-Andrew. One sister, Vera Marberry of Houston Best Friends, Angel and Susan Mireles. Jake was born and raised in Wilmer TX on a farm but spend most of his time on the waters of Lake Whitney in his Lonestar boat, which he kept for many years to enjoy with his children. Jake was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local 53, where he was employed by LH Land Painting Company. Jake enjoyed spending time with his wife and kids and their families and weekends on the lake with friends. Papaw was adored by all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved the only way that he knew how, with his whole heart, long arms and huge hands made just for his hugs. He is greatly loved and will be greatly missed as a loving husband, patient and kind father, best friend and greatest Papaw anyone could have ever asked for. Jake fought the good fight and finished his race in quiet and peace with his wife and children near his side. The family would like to thank everyone at Odyssey Hospice; Nurses, Betty Gage and Phyllis and Aide, Yolanda, for the love and care that they showed Jake in his final months, weeks, days and hours.
