Bio
Nettie Pearl Ewing Cave, 91, surrounded by family, passed peacefully on July 22, 2013. Nettie was born January 7, 1922 in Scurry, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Felix "Bit" Cave, parents Quincy and Lela Ewing and brothers and sisters, Fay, Pauline, Harold, Kell, Nina, Gwynn and Don. She is survived by her girls loving called "my bosses" in later years, Lin Cave and Barbara Minkoff of Plano, Texas and sister Anges Hardin of Kaufman, Texas. She is also survived by sister-in-laws Wilna Cave, Elaine Nalls, Catherine Cave, Cindy Cave, Winkie and husband, Gerald Cody and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. The family extends extreme gratitude to mother's most special friend, Joyce McCann and the entire staff at DaySpring Assisted Living Plano Texas for their loving care the last 5 years; Odyssey Hospice with special thanks to Reverend Angela Campbell, Joyce Alexander, Mary Howard and Michelle Jones for their extraordinary care for mother and our family during our last months together; and Apple Caregivers, most notably Clarice Kenfack, Astede Mamo and Robin Richardson for their kind spirit and the compassionate care they provided. Friends are invited to a visitation with family Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. followed by a Chapel Service on Friday at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that charitable contributions in memory of Nettie Cave be directed to DaySpring Assisted Living, 6400 Cheyenne Trail, Plano, Texas 75023 Siblings: Faye Gertrude Ewing Hammack (35975576) Pauline Joanna Ewing Eastep (18714742) Gwen Ewing Harold C.
