Bio

Frederick "Jim" Perchal was born in Bohemia (Czechoslovakia); three different birth dates: 22 Sep 1879, 5 Apr 1879 and 15 Apr 1879. I will go by the 22 Sep 1879 date as it is in his own handwriting on his WWI draft registration. He lived in Omaha, Nebraska; Los Angeles and Barstow, California. Worked/retired with the Southern Pacific Railroad as a car inspector for many years. Member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America. Buried in an unmarked grave/plot with his mother, Mary Perchal, and other relatives. His father, Joseph Prchal, fluctuated between using Prchal and Perchal. Monument at the Calvary Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska has "Prchal." Wife: Mamie or Minnie R. ? Perchal. Married abt. 1929. Mamie died 25 Dec 1938 in Los Angeles County, California. Birth bet. 1891 - 1895 in California. Parents listed in 1930 census both born in Ireland.
