Married: 26 NOV 1856 in Neunkirchen, Siegkreis, Rhein Provinz, Prussia They had 6 children. Note from family: My Great Great Grandparents.... The father, Johann, was born May 7, 1829 in Leienhof in Seelshetd. Catherine's mother, Margareta Eisheid was born October 8, 1828. They were married in Sigburg, Germany in,1854. Margareta Eisheid Neu died May 30, 1892, and is buried in Roselle, Iowa. After the death of his wife, John Neu returned to Germany and married Anna Maria Hitz. She died January 17, 1911. He died April 23, 1915. Both are buried in Germany.
