The Broomfield Enterprise, Volume 11, Number 49, September 25, 1986 page 14 Died Anna Scarpella Anna Scarpella of Lafayette died Sept. 15, 1986 in Spring Creek Health Care Center of Fort Collins. She was 86. Born Anna Palizzi March 9, 1900 in Trucella, Italy, she came to the United States in 1921. She married Pasco Scarpella Nov. 5, 1921 in Louisville. The couple lived in several municipalities in Boulder County before moving to Lafayette in 1931. Her husband preceded her in death in 1974. A homemaker, Scarpella was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lafayette and a 30-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lafayette VFW Post No. 1771. Surviving are three sons, John Scarpella of Broomfield and Frank and Richard Scarpella of Fort Collins; a brother, Dan Palizzi of Lafayette; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were held at Darrell Howe Mortuary in Lafayette Sept. 18, 1986 with interment at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder.
