Born to Conrad M. and Regina Anne Neu Flusche in Decatur, TX. Married Jerry Sicking on July 16, 1966 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster. EVELYN LEONA FLUSCHE SICKING MUENSTER — Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn Leona Flusche Sicking, 68, of Muenster was at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church, with Fr. Ken Robinson celebrating the Mass. The rosary and vigil were Thursday evening at the funeral home. Services were directed by the McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster. Born Feb. 23, 1942 in Decatur to the late Conrad M. and Regina Anne Neu Flusche, she grew up and graduated from Decatur High School. She then attended Bud Hall's Beauty School in Wichita Falls, graduating in 1960 and receiving her license in 1961. Evelyn then moved to Muenster in 1964 and opened Evelyn's Styleroom Beauty Salon where she was in business until her death. She also was an Avon representative for over 20 years. Evelyn married Jerry Sicking on July 16, 1966 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster. Evelyn was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Catholic Daughters of America and Muenster Hospital Auxiliary. She was very involved with 4-H, serving as a leader for 10 years as co-organizational leader and organizational leader as well as a state officer. She was a chaperone for 4-H to the TP&L Camp in Trinidad, for a ski trip to Eagle Nest, N.M., for county camp in Kingston, Okla. and for the Citizenship Washington Focus Heritage Tour in Washington D.C. She also served on several county leader committees. Evelyn enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking, grandkids and the computer, which allowed her to stay in close contact with her children, friends and relatives. She was a great family lady, always caring for the welfare of her children and grandchildren. She was a friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Sicking of Muenster; daughter, Sherilyn Sicking of Arlington; sons, Michael Conrad Sicking of Waco and Darwin John Sicking and spouse Juliane of Durant, Okla.; sister, Viola and Joe Schmidlkofer of Lindsay; grandchildren, Danielle, Haylee and Noah Sicking of Durant, Ashley Sicking of Amarillo, Brandi Balke of Japan and Robert Scruggs of Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James and Jerry Flusche; son, Mitchel Edmond Hurley and granddaughter, Kayla Gabrielle Sicking. Pallbearers were Carl Flusche, Conrad Flusche, Bobby Sicking, Steve Schmidlkofer, Kenneth Sicking and David Sicking. Honorary pallbearers were Clifford Sicking and Neil Rohmer.
