Marvin Ermis GALVESTON - In the company of his wife, daughter and son, Marvin Ermis, age 66, died peacefully on the afternoon of September 6,2000. He rejoined his departed parents, Herman and Martha Ermis. Funeral Mass will be held at 10.00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2000, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Joe Rigali, O.F.M., as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive visitors after 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 8, 2000, at MaUoy & Son Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. with Deacon Tommy Hunter officiating. Marvin was born in Sealy, Texas, on August 29,1934. Marvin was a lifelong Galveston resident who served proudly in the Armed Forces of the United States. He returned to what would be a 37-year career in the Chemical industry with Monsanto and Sterling, including a position of Chief Analyst. Marvin is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary; son, Marty Ermis and his wife, Tammy of Galveston; daughter, Cherie Farmer and husband, Donald of League City; brothers and sisters- in-law, J.D. Bean Jr. and wife Jane of Galveston, and Cleburne and Marge Medlock of Marble Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Tripp and Chase Farmer, Ally, Whitney and Gage Ermis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives. Pallbearers will be Dante Paganncei, Robert Whelton, Jimmy Milligan, J.D. Bean Jr., Harry Guss and Richard Carrasco. Honorary pallbearer will be Glen BrouiQard. In the arms of our Lord now, Marvin was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and his legacy of love, caring, and kindness will live forever in the hearts and lives of his children, grandchildren, family and friends.
