Mrs. Betty Jane Ward, 81, of Muscle Shoals, died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at the home of her daughter in Decatur. She was a native of Birmingham and a member of Cypress Chapter 195, OES. Visitation will be today, May 12, 2007, from 6-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Sunday, May 13, 2007, at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be the Rev. Emerald Bailey. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Ward; mother, Mary L. Gilbert; father, Dee Gilbert; and a brother, Thomas D. Gilbert. She is survived by a son, Charles T. Ward and wife, Linda, of Muscle Shoals; daughter, Linda F. Williams and husband, Ronald, of Decatur; sister, Pat Cartee, of Muscle Shoals; and grandson, Michael Terry Ward, of Muscle Shoals. Pallbearers will be Jason Roden, George Stone, Jeff Williams, Tom Berryman, Billy Mansell and Billy Williams. Honorary pallbearers will include James E. Cartee, Thomas Moore Jr. and Frank Stevens.
