Survivors include his wife Ophelia, and a son, Jackie Rowe, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Graveside services are 10 a.m. Monday at the Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. "Born March 29, 1921 at Stephens, he was a son of the late Harvey Rowe and Bessie Rowe. "He was a retired mechanic for Georgia-Pacific and a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church in Fordyce. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. "Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ben Abner Rowe, Jr. "Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ophelia Rowe, of Fordyce; one son, Jackie L. Rowe of Fordyce; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. "Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 11, at the Oakland Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Thornton officiating.
