The Mass of Christian Burial for Felix Wilhelmi of Motley will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena, with Father Don Wagner as celebrant. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to Mass. Felix passed away, at the age of 96, on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Harmony House in Motley, MN. Felix Sylvester Wilhelmi was born on March 26, 1917 to Jacob and Marion (Mack) Wilhelmi in Cavalier, ND. He was a farmer most of his life. Felix was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Catherine Schmidt, second wife Elsie Kroening and third wife Dora Christeneon; parents Jacob and Marion; daughters Kathy King and Joyce Wilhelmi; great-granddaughter Karlie Becker; and son-in-law Wallace Bergmann; brothers Walter, Charlie, Eddie, and Arnie; sisters Catherine Wilhelmi, Ella Holmes and Tina Schmitt. He is survived by 13 children; five sons Larry (Dorothy) of Dallas, GA, Jim (Kathy) of Verndale, Rick (Peggy) of Bertha, Mike (Dawn) of Staples and Ron (Nicky) of Hudson, SD; daughters Charlotte Bergmann-Schefers (Orv) of Andover, Mary (Kermit) Scott of Eau Claire, WI, Betty (David) Bowman of Ottertail, Beverly (Roger) Lesnak of Vancouver, WA, Darlene (Dennis) Kassube of Big Stone City, SD, Linda (Morris) Gifford of Coon Rapids, Cheryl (Brian) Sjaaheim and Jodi (Paul) Brinkman both of St. Joseph; 46 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law Loren King; sister Mary Russell of Forest Lake and brother Jake Wilhelmi of Clinton, UT and numerous step-children. Honorary pallbearers will be Felix's sons-in-law. Serving as pallbearers will be all of Felix's grandsons. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Bertha, MN.
