Bio
The DOB for Cora is somewhat uncertain - the headstone inscription uses 1877 for the year, while the Fairfield Ledger obituary stated it was March 14, 1875. There are no birth records in Iowa for anything pre-1880, so the exact date should be used with some caution. Will use March 14, 1877 for this memorial pending any clarification. Cora died on December 14, 1938. Her headstone inscription inadvertently used 1939 for the DOD year. Wife of William E. Greeson, former Jefferson county resident, passed away about noon today at her home at 154 South Elm street in Ottumwa. Mrs. Greeeson may be remembered as Miss May Boyd daughter (sic) of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Boyd, north of Fairfield. The body is being brought to Hoskins Funeral Home.
