Obituary from Wichita Eagle, February 26, 1945: Passes Near Udall Mrs. Lillie M. Howard, Mulvane Resident 54 Years, Dies at 79 Mrs. Lillie M. Howard, 79, a resident of the Mulvane community for 54 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.F. Shoup , near Udall, late Saturday. Born in Iowa, Mrs. Howard moved to the community with her husband, the late Albert N. Howard , in 1891. She had been a member of the Bethel Brethren church since 1894. Surviving are three sons, Harry, Mulvane, Cliff, Towanda, and Cecil, Cabool, Mo., and another daughter, Mrs. George M. Smysor, Mulvane. Funeral services will be held at the Mulvane Methodist church, Tuesday at 2 p.m. Hooton Mortuary is in charge. First Husband - Frank Taylor [Lillie is my husband's great-great grandmother.]
