Patsy "Pat" A. Blankenship of Duncanville passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, 403 S. Main St., Duncanville. Burial: 11:30 a.m. Friday in Cornett Cemetery in the Hughes Springs area. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. She was born Oct. 18, 1934, in Cass County, the daughter of James Riley and Delia Nelson Leftwich. A beautician for over 40 years, Pat loved to square dance with her husband, Tom, and belonged to the Nortex Square & Round Dance Association. Her passion was cooking, through which she expressed her love for family. Beloved wife, mother and "Gran," Pat is survived by her husband of 60 years, William "Tom" Blankenship; daughter, Vanessa Red and husband, Richard; son, Thomas Blankenship and Nancy; daughter, Pennie Milligan and husband, Raymond; grandchildren, Ben Kilpatrick and wife, Katie, Taylor Kilpatrick, McKenzie Blankenship and Dillon Blankenship; brothers, Carol Leftwich, Hunter Leftwich and wife, Reba, Jerry Bob Leftwich and wife, Pat; along with many nieces and nephews.
