JEROME • Richard D Hovorka, 87, of Jerome, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, in Twin Falls. He was born Oct. 5, 1925 in Marsland, Nebraska, to Thomas J and Mary K Turek Hovorka. Richard lived in Nebraska where he ranched and farmed before moving his family to Payette, ID in 1964. He retired from Ore-Ida in 1995. He is survived by his son, Lawrince (Sally); granddaughter, Joslyn; grandson, Joseph (Kim); great-grandsons, Ryan and Aaron; brother, Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. Richard joins his mother, father, siblings, Agnes Gasseling, John, Rosalyn Burt, Ellen Pollard, Frank, Wilma and infant brother, Raymond, in Heaven. The family wishes to thank Alpine Manor Assisted Living for its caring devotion; also, Encompass Hospice for its nursing care during the last stage of his life; especially Larie and Shannon, who he always had a wink and a smile for. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you send donations to Encompass Hospice, 1411 Falls Ave. E., Twin Falls, ID, 83301, or a charity of your choice. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, July 29, at the Valley View Cemetery, 1699 Valley View Road in Vale, OR. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
