Bessie R. Kirk Bessie R. Kirk, 69, former resident of Salem, died Friday, May 24, in a Woodburn nursing home. A native of Kansas City, Mo., she moved to Salem from Eugene in 1952. Survivors include son, Roy Stevens with the U S Army; daughters, Geraldine Unrath of Portland, Lucille Weckesser of Florissant, Mo., and Ruth Stevens in California. Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 29, at 2 p.m. in the Belle Passi cemetery, Woodburn. Ringo-Cornwell Funeral Chapel had charge of the arrangements.
