Ruth Elizabeth Slaughter, 99, Bethany, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Crestview Nursing Home, Bethany, MO. She was born December 9, 1913 in Bethany, MO, the daughter of John W. and Josephine (Howe) Bacon. On April 25, 1933, she married Olin Fletcher Slaughter Sr. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1967. Ruth was a homemaker and she loved flowers. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Bethany, MO and the CWF. Survivors include 4 Sons, Jack (Dottie) Slaughter, Sr., Columbia, MO; Olin Slaughter, Bethany, MO; Irl (Judy) Slaughter, Bethany, MO; Larry (Paula) Slaughter, Yukon, OK; Daughter, Laura Jo Gartman, Florence, KY; Daughter-in-Law, Peggy Slaughter, Columbia, MO; 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Kathryn McWhiney and Mary Utterback; brother, Henry Bacon; son, Robert Slaughter; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Slaughter and son-in-law, Moritz Gartman, Jr. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 1, at the Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial in Burris Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The
