Michael J. Gubbels died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Columbus. Michael Joseph Gubbels, the son of Mathias and Sophia (Scharf) Gubbels, was born September 29, 1924 in Randolph, Nebraska. He graduated from St. Francis High School in Randolph in 1941. On November 27, 1951, Michael was united in marriage to Dorothy A. Noelle at St. Francis Catholic Church in Randolph. He farmed until 1966 and then worked at D & L in Tool and Die for thirteen years. Michael was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Perpetual Adoration, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, Volunteer Guide at the Columbus Community Hospital and helped with Meals on Wheels. He is survived by: Wife: Dorothy Gubbels of Columbus, NE Daughter: Patricia Joan Scow of Columbus, NE Son: Douglas (Joan) Gubbels of Columbus, NE Son: Gerard (Beverly) Gubbels of Columbus, NE Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren Brother: Br.
