Bio
Mrs. Yvonne Lyon, 67, of Terrell passed away Thursday in Terrell. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Goggans Funeral Home with Chaplain Clayton McCord officiating. Interment will follow at College Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Lyon was born December 6, 1937 in Kaufman County. She was the daughter of Mrs. Grace Cunningham Taylor and the late James Taylor. She was raised and graduated high school in Kaufman. She married Mr. Bryan Lyon on November 23, 1983. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1995. Mrs. Lyon was a registered nurse for Terrell State Hospital for many years. She loved gardening and being with her family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Grace Taylor of Terrell; daughters, Kathy Leatherwood and her husband, Kelly of Terrell and Karen Powell of Indianapolis, Ind.; grandchildren, Kelly Renee Lengacher, Kody Leatherwood and Shara Bull; great-grandchildren, Kinsey Lopez, Keeleigh Leatherwood and Kayden Lengacher; brothers, Oscar Taylor of Rowlett, George Taylor of Terrell and Bobby Gene "Lumpy" Taylor of Kaufman; sisters, Dorothy Crow and Shirley Harwell, both of Terrell, Leona Harwell of Garland and Betty Gutierrez of Melissa
