Norwood, Ohio — Tom K. Whittington, Jr., 83, of Norwood, Ohio, died Friday, June 21, 2013 in Norwood. Tom was born January 3, 1930, in Enid, Okla., the son of Tom Sr. and Margaret (Thompson) Whittington. Tom graduated from Carmi High School and later married and raised his family there. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the Korean conflict. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Sherri and Terry Harper of Kingwood, Texas; grandchildren Wade Whittington of Roswell, Ga. and Alli Harper of Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren Grace and Jack Whittington and daughter-in-law Amy Whittington, all of Roswell, Ga.; niece Heather (Cooper) Carlomagno and nephew Hunter Cooper, both of Norris City; and several nieces and nephews in Texas. He is also survived by good friends, Mike and Kay Hayes of the Cincinnati area. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, sons Tom III and Wade Whittington, niece-in-law Jenny Whittington, and sister Sue Cooper.
