Fort Bend Herald, June 26, 2013: Following several months of failing health, Alice Matcheski Kramer peacefully passed away on June 24, 2013 at Sweeny House Nursing Home in Sweeny, Texas. She was born on September 24, 1924 to Mack and Bessie Matcheski in Grimes County, Texas, and married Wilbert (Inky) Kramer on April 11, 1953. Alice is survived by her sons, Joe (Kim), Henry (Jackie), and Kenneth (Rhonda); grandsons, Philip Kramer and Wesley Crawford; step-granddaughters, Kelli Jones and Kristi Casey; sisters, Gertrude Kuykendall and Jean (Calvin) Mikeska; sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Barbara (Sissy) Matcheski; along with many loving and caring nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert (Inky) Kramer; her parents; and her brothers, Jake, Dan, Bill, and Louis Matcheski. Alice and Inky enjoyed many years of fishing and gardening on Caney Creek and both looked forward to the annual Kramer/Matcheski Family and Friends 4th of July BBQ on the creek. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. For those wishing, donations may be made in Alice's name to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416 George Street in Rosenberg, Texas 77471.
