Harland Fredrick Heil passed away on February 29, 2012. He was born October 28, 1924 in Cedar Creek, NE to Fredrick and Esther Heil. Harland proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He worked at Boeing for 20 years before opening his own shop, Heil Machine, in Everett. A master tool designer, Harland was also Past Master of Masonic Lodge #137, a member of the Scottish Rite, Knights Templar, VFW, and Pocahontas Chapter #11. Harland is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elizabeth "Lily" Heil of Everett, son Greg Heil of Seattle, daughter Rebecca Collins of Freeland, step-daughter Cathy Wagner (Chuck) of Granite Falls, step-son Robert Baker (Meg) of Bellingham, sister Marvine Nielsen (Orvil) of Springfield, NE, grandchildren Kate, Laura, Matthew, Sean, Allissia, and Chad, great-grandchildren Breelyn, Lauren, Hannah, and Connor, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Brenda and Sylvia at the Granite Falls Village for their excellent care of Harland. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Harland's name may be made to Hospice of Snohomish County.
