Bio

Lisa Denise Tovar, 45, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013 in Rice, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2013, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2013, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery. Lisa was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Ralph and Jane (Anderson) Sims. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1986. On April 6, 2000, Lisa married David Tovar and they lived in Ennis, then Bardwell, and finally made their home in Rice in 2001. Lisa was a loving mother and homemaker, a member of the Baptist church, and enjoyed puzzles and crochet. She is survived by her husband, David Tovar, of Rice; sons, Daniel Pedraza, of Addison, and Tony Pedraza, of Rice; daughters, Jasmine Tovar, of Seagoville, Alexis Tovar, of Rice and Alyssa Tovar, of Rice; grandchildren, Nevaeh and Jacquelynn; brother, Ron Sims and his wife, Jennifer, of Chicago; sister, Karen White and her husband, Jeff, of Corsicana; numerous other relatives and many friends.
