Bio

Dorothy Helen Hilbers McDonald, age 84, died June 15, 2013, with her family by her side in Arlington, Texas. A Vigil service and rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland with Rev. Fernando Preciado of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls, officiating. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland with Rev. Jack McKone, Pastoral Administrator of St. Boniface, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery in Scotland under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City, Texas. Dorothy was born on January 30, 1929 in Scotland, Texas to Henry William Hilbers and Frances Vieth Hilbers. She worked at Levi Strauss in Wichita Falls after graduating from school in Scotland;she then attended cosmetology school and became a beautician; eventually opening her own shop. She was a member of St. Boniface church where she served on the cemetery and bereavement committees. She was active in the community and served as a voting clerk for Scotland. She is survived by her two children, her daughter, Paula McDonald, and her son, David McDonald, two sisters, Marie Teichman and Bernice Hoegger, and two brothers, Bernard Hilbers and wife, Betty and Albert Hilbers.
