Bio

Johnnie J. Trlica, age 70, of West, passed away Monday morning, June 17, 2013 at Providence Health Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Private burial will take place at a later date. Johnnie was born November 11, 1942 in Hill County, Texas, the son of Martin Edmond Trlica and Agnes Frances (Adamcik) Trlica. He attended school at St. Mary's School and West High School. On June 15, 1990 Johnnie was united in marriage to Helen Clay in Itasca. He was Service Manager at Fleetwood Homes in Waco for 35 years until his retirement in 2005. Johnnie was also a farmer and rancher. He loved working in his shop, welding and being a skilled handyman. He built his own home, barn and fences. Johnnie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marvin Trlica . Survivors include his wife, Helen (Clay) Trlica of West; a son, Kevin Trlica and wife Rachel of Groveton; a daughter, Jackie Trlica of Waco; two sisters, Doris Pavelka and husband Billy and Helen Grones and husband Kevin, all of West; six grandchildren; his dog, Buffy; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active Pallbearers are Danny Mynar, George Mynar, Kirk Wines, Teddy Mynar, Marvin Domesle and Richard Urbanovsky. Honorary Pallbearers are Raymond Matus, Dustin Matus, Raymond Dulock, Dan Pokluda, Billy Adamcik and Eugene Adamcik. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Relief Fund or to the charity of your choice.
