Bio
MARTHA MULLINS ESCARZEGA, an 18-year Hillsborough resident, died suddenly and unexpectedly in her office in San Francisco Thursday afternoon. A native of Dallas, Texas, she was raised and educated in San Bernardino, CA before moving to San Mateo County in the 1960's with her husband, David Escarzega. An accomplished writer, Mrs. Escarzega received a Clio award for advertising excellence. She has been most recently employed by Gap Inc. in their Corporate Communications department for the past 15 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by their son, James Marquez Escarzega of Boston; her mother, Agnes Mullins, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; a sister, Agnes Marsh, Belmont Shore, CA; and a brother, Russell Mullins, Rancho Mirage, CA. Another brother, William Mullins, preceded her in death. The funeral is scheduled for Monday, January 28th, 1:00 PM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1310 Bayswater at El Camino, Burlingame, CA with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, CA.
