Wyatt - Funeral service for Mrs. Pollie Josephine Phillips of Wyatt will be held Friday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. Mrs. Phillips, 82 years old, died Tuesday at the Bertrand Retirement Home. She was born Sept. 27, 1903, in Searcy, Ark., the daughter of John and Hannah Cossey. She and Floyd Phillips were married Dec. 12, 1924. She had lived in Mississippi County since 1940, and was a member of the First Baptist Church at Wyatt. Survivors include her husband; a son, Vern Phillips; four daughters, Mrs. Eloise DeVerger, Aidena Prayor, Syble Fridenour and June Fuller; a brother, Hobert Cossey; six grandchildren and Nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers, two sisters and a grandson. Southeast Missourian
