Bio
Bessie W. Kubenka passed away on June 13, 2013 at the age of 83. She was born on June 20, 1929 in Moulton, TX to Joseph and Mary (Matula) Wagner. She was a faithful parishioner at St. Joan of Arc, a member of the ladies auxiliary V.F.W. Post 2059 in Kirby and also a member of Hermann Sons Lodge. She enjoyed her Bunco Club and was a frequent bingo player. Bessie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin Kubenka; son-in-law, Michael Wilson; brothers and sisters; and great-grandson, Joshua England. Survivors include her son, Terry Kubenka and wife Diana; daughter, Linda Wilson; grandchildren, Deanna England and husband Brian, Douglas Wilson and wife Alyssa, Christina Kubenka-Larsen and husband Matt, and Donald Kubenka and wife Crystal; great grandchildren, Katelyn England, Kyle England, and Sydney Kubenka; sister, Della Klesel; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 2829 Ackerman Rd, Kirby, TX 78219. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
