Bio

Victoria A. "Vickie" Derchowski, 99, of Loup City, formerly of Ashton, died, Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at Rose Lane Home in Loup City. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City. The Rev. Richard L. Piontkowski will celebrate the Mass. Visitation will be held one hour before time of services at the church with the Rosary being recited at 9:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Vickie was born on April 23, 1925, on a farm northwest of Loup City, the daughter of Roman and Mary (Maciejewski) Dembowski. She grew up on the farm and attended country school in that area. She was united in marriage to Frank Derchowski on Feb. 22, 1954, at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City. The couple lived and worked on the Derchowski family farm together until their retirement in 1973, when they moved into Ashton. Frank died on Jan. 6, 2000. Vickie continued to live in Ashton until moving to Loup City to live with her brothers, Eddie and Henry. She then moved to Rose Lane Home, where she lived for the past 19 years. She was a member of St. Josaphat's and its CCW and Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed embroidery work and loved to talk and visit with everyone. She is survived by numerous cousins and friends. In addition to her husband, Frank, she was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Clarence and brothers, Louie, Eddie and Henry Dembowski.
