The Custer County Chief (Broken Bow, NE); 12 Mar 1956, p. 8 Former Resident Dies March 1 Mrs. Laura Warring was born in Logan, Ia., in 1878 and died at a Superior, Wis. hospital March 1, 1956 at the age of 78. She moved from Broken Bow to Wisconsin in 1911. Her husband, George Lambert Warring, preceded her in death Nov. 19.1946 in Superior. Survivors are four daughters: Mrs. Gertrude Young, Superior, Wis.; Mrs. Nellie Anderson, Kettle River, Minn., Mrs. Stella Stenstrom and Mrs. Sybil Knutson of Grand Rapids, Mich.; four sons, Donald, Hialeah, Fla., Ray and Glenn, Foxboro, Wis., and Delbert, Superior, Wis.; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Five sisters, Mrs. Bertha Bates, Broken Bow; Mrs. Bessie Kanost, Wauneta; Mrs. Della Vollnogle, Columbiana, Ohio; Mrs. Grace Curtis, Sedro Woolley, Wash., and Mrs. Edith Budd, Perris, Calif., and four brothers, Walter Pummel of Enders, Perry Pummel of Danbury, Roy Pummel of Avoca, and Frank Pummel of Payette, Idaho, also survive.
