MAGNA--Lucile Amanda Staheli Simpson, 93, died June 23, 1999. Born February 5, 1906 to George and Agnes Douglas Staheli. She married Clifford Martin Simpson September 4, 1922, he preceded her in death in 1971. Lucile was active in the LDS church till the time of her death. She was a feisty gal, so the last few years were very difficult for her after two debilitating strokes. Still, she maintained her great wit and active sense of humor to the end. "You are out of that body which held you prisoner, mother. Fly to dad now, you are free."Survived by son, Howard Martin Simpson; daughter, LuCarol S. Roberts; brothers, Lee Staheli, Dean Staheli, and Bert Staheli; sisters, Wanda Huff, Julia Hansen, and Barbara Hansen; a dear sister-in-law, LouEtta Jones; grandchildren, Kathy (Rick) Barringer, Joseph (Jana) Harmon, Bryan (Robyn) Harmon, Randy Roberts , and Daniel (Jennifer) Roberts. Preceded in death by grandson, Michael Harmon . We, Howard and LuCarol, express gratitude and thank you to all the knowledgeable and caring people at Wasatch Valley Rehab Center for their loving care and compassion, not only for Lucile but for ourselves through all these last many months. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 26, 1999 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Green Chapel, 8739 W. 3000 South, where friends may call Saturday 12-12:45 p.m. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
