Bio

Frances A. Hejny, 77, passed away in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2013, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Brother William Vickery, pastor of the Calvary Temple Church of Mesquite. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery. Frances was born in Fannin County, Texas, to the late Roy William and Verna Mae (Carpenter) Adamson. She grew up in Dallas and graduated from Forrest Avenue High School in 1954 she went on to attend Dallas College of Business. On October 29, 1955, she married Wesley W. Hejny and they made their home in Dallas. She worked for Southwestern Bell for over 31 years until her retirement in 1993 as a PBX operator. She enjoyed reading and her favorite subjects were mystery and romance novels. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley W. Hejny on May 19, 1995; and her father, Roy Adamson on January 29, 2007. She is survived by one son, Billy Joe Hejny of Balch Springs, Texas; two daughters: Carolyn and her husband, Ruben Gonzales of Midlothian, Texas and Deborah and her husband Johnny Hubacek of Dallas; seven grandchildren: six great-grandchildren and her mother, Verna Adamson of Balch Springs, Texas.
