Melvin H. Kroeker, 81, of Henderson, Neb., passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013. Melvin was born on May 11, 1932 to Henry and Justina Kroeker. He was a 1950 graduate of Henderson High School and continued his education at the University of Nebraska Ag College. Dad accepted Christ and was baptized as a young adult. He was a lifelong member of Bethesda Mennonite Church. On June 4,1954 he married Deloris Janzen and they resided in Henderson their entire married life. Together they had two daughters, Gaylene and Brenda. He is preceded in death by his wife, Deloris; his parents, Henry and Justina Kroeker; brothers-in-law, Gene Siebert, James Kroeker, and John Spoelstra. Survivors include his daughters and spouses, Gaylene and Kent Hoadley and Brenda and Barry Stauffer; his grandchildren, Kristin Hoadley, Ryan Stauffer, Roxanne (Stauffer) and Nick Glanzer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Carol Kroeker, Gerald and Leanna Kroeker, Dale and Carol Kroeker; his sisters and brother-in-law, Effie Kroeker, Sharon (Kroeker) and Robert Bren, Karen (Kroeker) Spoelstra; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services: 4 p.m., June 11, at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson, Neb. Visitation is 7-8 p.m. June 10 at Metz Mortuary in Henderson. Memorials to Grace Children's Home in Henderson.
