John & Emma were married 20 May 1906 in Prague, NE (Saunders County) Lincoln Evening Journal (NE); Wed, 21 Jan 1959; p30 Funeral of John J Polak of Valparaiso, who died Tuesday, will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Agnew, the Rev. Richard Brombach officiating. Rosary 8 p.m. Thursday at Hodgman-Splain for parish and 8:15 p.m. Thursday for Catholic Workmen Lodge. Burial St. Joseph's Cemetery **. He was a retired farmer and had lived in the Valparaiso area for 46 years. He was a charter member for 60 years of the Catholic Workmen Lodge at Agnew and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors: wife, Emma A., daughters, Mrs. James (Bessie) Janousek, Lincoln, and Mrs. Rudy (Gertrude) Hakel, Seward; sons, Anthony F., Eugene, Ore., Jerome H., Beatrice, and Cyril J. and John C., both of Valparaiso; brother, Frank, Wahoo; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. ** Funeral notice in next day's Lincoln Evening Journal has Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Valparaiso.
