The Lincoln Star (Lincoln, Nebr.), August 13, 1934, p. 13, col. 2 AGNEW FARMER IS FOUND DEAD Frank Matulka Suffers Heart Attack Induced By the Heat. Stricken with a heart attack induced by the heat, Frank Matulka, 74, a resident of Lancaster county for the past 57 years, was found dead in the barn on his farm near Agnew early Sunday morning. His wife, Antonia, discovered the body. Relatives said Matulka had been suffering with a heart ailment for the past two weeks. It was the 39th death contributed to by the heat this year in the Lincoln area. Matulka was working in the barn during the morning, pitching down hay from the mow. His slippers were removed and it appeared as if he laid down to rest. His wife went to look for him when he failed to come to the house for breakfast. Mr. and Mrs. Matulka celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1932. Mr. Matulka was born in the state. In addition to his wife, Antonie; Mr. Matulka is survived by five sons, Frank, jr., of Dwight, Joseph of David City; August of Ulysses; Louis of Valparaiso, and Peter of Valparaiso; six daughters, Mrs. Mary Neimann of Dwight, Mrs. Frances Jasa of Valparaiso; Mrs. Anna Novatry of Valparaiso, and Mrs. Theresa Vanicek of Valparaiso; fifty-four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic church at Agnew at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning. Interment will be in the cemetery at Dwight, Neb. Father Bauer of Dwight assisting with the services. Interment was in the Dwight Catholic Cemetery.
