Adella Tomasek, 82, of Dodge, Nebraska, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at the Parkview Home in Dodge. The funeral service will be Monday, June 3,10:30 A.M. at New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson, Nebraska, with Rev. Cathy Allen officiating. Interment will be in the Clarkson National Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-7 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home in Clarkson. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. at the church. Adella was born October 25, 1930, in rural Stanton, Nebraska, to John and Jennie (Kucera) Manak. Adella attended rural Country School. On August 13, 1950, Adella was united in marriage to Joseph J. Tomasek in Clarkson. They lived on a farm south of Dodge for many years before moving into Dodge. Adella worked for many years at the Parkview Home in Dodge. She enjoyed cooking, baking, take out cleaning, listening to Polka music, and taking little sightseeing trips. She also enjoyed spending time outside in her garden, tending her flowers, and taking care of her grandchildren. Adella is survived by: Daughter: Susan (Lynn) Eschenko of Livingston, MT Son: Kenneth (Doris) Tomasek of Dodge, NE Son: Randal Tomasek of Dodge, NE 7 Grandchildren Sister: Martha (Dennis) Larson of Omaha, NE Brother: Rawlin Manak of Columbus, NE Sister-in-law: Mary Ann Manak of Clarkson, NE Adella was preceded in death by: Parents: John & Jenny Manak Husband: Joseph Tomasek Son: Loren Tomasek Brother: Elden J. Manak Sister: Marcella Shonka
