WOODROW — Services for W. Dean Littlejohn, 78, of Hale Center will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Woodrow Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Gentry officiating. Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens in Woodrow under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center. He died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, in Lubbock. He was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Navarro County. He married Mary Beggs on Feb. 13, 1947, in Brownfield. He served in the US Navy from 1941-1945. In 1960, he moved to Hale Center from Lubbock, where he was a farmer. He was a baptist. Survivors include his wife, Mary Littlejohn of Hale Center; one son, Eddie Littlejohn of Lubbock; one daughter, Sherry Littlejohn of Eldorado; one brother, Earl Glenn Littlejohn of Lubbock; one sister, Joyce Hucabay of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, Md., 20852. (Obituary published in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal.)
