Published in the Patterson Irrigator on August 21, 1969: Jesse Joplin Buried Here Tuesday Funeral services were held Tuesday at Evans Funeral Chapel for Jesse Homer Joplin, 69, who died Sunday morning at a local hospital after a short illness. Burial was in Patterson District Cemetery. A native of Dallas, Texas, he had lived in Patterson 22 years. He was a retired cottage cheese clerk employed at the Golden Valley Creameries in Newman and Patterson, a veteran of World War I and of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary O. Joplin of 109 South Fifth St.; three daughters, Mrs. Janie Ravelli, Patterson; Mrs. Ann Watts and Mrs. Jeane Henderson; both of Texas; a son, George Joplin of Texas; four brothers, Cecil, Earl, Harris and Jimmy Joplin and a sister, Mrs. Laura Carter, all of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
