Bio
The third of seven children born to Roscoe and Ethel Williams Hutton, she grew up in Leonard and Blue Ridge, TX, moving to Tyler in 1931. She was married to Malcom C. Berry in 1932 and in 1945 they moved to Houston where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a loyal and trusted employee of the Detering Company for many years, and she and her husband were charter members of Freeway Baptist Church in Houston. In recent years Mildred was a member of Central Baptist Church in Pasadena. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, M. C. Berry in 1967; a son who died in infancy; her parents; two brothers; Forrest Hutton and Ben Hutton; two sisters, Faye Morriss and Gladys Howard. Mildred is survived by her older sister; Inez Blackshear Wood; a younger brother, James R. Hutton and wife Margaret; numerous nieces and nephews including Frances Wilburn, Pat Riley, Paula Bray, Charlotte Costolow, Betty Jane Clinard and many great-nieces and great-nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
