Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, October 8, 1975, Page 8, Column 2 Methodist Services for Mabel Ptacnik Funeral services were Wednesday for Mabel Ann Ptacnik who died Oct. 4, 1975 at the Valley County Hospital after a lingering illness. She was 64. The Rev. Ron Roemmich officiated at the 2 pm rites at the United Methodist Church in Ord and burial was in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. Mabel Ann Ptacnik was born July 17, 1911 in Valley County, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Lukes Ptacnik. Her early life was spent on the family farm west of Ord where she attended rural school. Mabel graduated from Ord High School with the class of 1927. She was a member of ZCBJ Slavin Lodge #112. Survivors include two sisters, Minnie Ptacnik of Elyria and Mrs. Emma Moudry of Ord; two nephews, Leonard Moudry and Alvin Moudry of Ord and one niece, Mrs. Thelma Barnes of Scotia. Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers.
