Bruha, 43, of Ord died Sat., Dec. 9, 2000 at the Valley county Hospital in Ord. Funeral services were held Tues., Dec. 12 at 10:30 am at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Burial was in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery in Ord. Robert “Bob” E. Bruha was born in Ord on Aug. 21, 1957 to Edward and Evelyn Rae (Nevrivy) Bruha. He was raised seven miles southwest of Ord and attended Vinton School District 23 and was a 1975 graduate of Ord High School. On April 12, 1985 he married Karen Daniels Spears at Ord. The couple was divorced. Mr. Bruha was employed by the Valley County Department of Roads from 1979-1991. He retired due to ill health. After retirement he resided at Rolling Hills and then entered the Valley County Nursing Home. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Paul and Evelyn R. Sueper of Ord; one son, Jason Wilson of Ord; three daughters, Heather Bruha, Amber Bruha, and Denarae Bruha all of Ord; two sisters, Sharon K. (Mrs. Myron) Osentowski of Grand Island and Sandra M. (Mrs. Herb) Bruha of Burwell. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Bruha; paternal grandparents, John and Frances Bruha and maternal grandparents, Adolph and Julia Nevrivy.
