Bio

Karen Fish, 72, of Lincoln, NE, died Sat., Sept. 11, 2010 at the Monarch in Lincoln. The visitation and funeral Service for Ms. Fish will be private. Private graveside services were Wed., Sept. 15, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. Ord Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the donor's choice. Karen was born Aug. 3, 1938, in Valley County, NE, to Ira and Ethel (Kasson) Fish. She was raised in Valley County and had attended the Olean Rural School and graduated from Ord High School in 1956. She later moved to Lincoln and worked for Dairyland Insurance as Branch Manager for 39 years. Survivors include a brother, Harold Fish of Ord; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Maynard Desel of Wood River and Mildred and Lewis Hoobler of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Darrell and Richard Fish, a sister, Dorothy Wallace and two nephews, Mark and Bruce Hoobler.
