Bio

Eugene J. Sassin, 80, of Beeville, died Monday, May 13, 2013. Mr. Sassin was born Aug. 21, 1932, in Yoakum to Frank and Annie (Pavliska) Sassin. He married Carol Asher in Karnes City on Aug. 19, 1956, and worked for years as a lease operator in the oil field. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Lions Club in Weslaco and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Annie Sassin; his wife, Carol Sassin, in 2004; and his brothers and sisters. Burial followed service in Beeville Memorial Park.
