Bio

He was born to Frank and Catharine Illy Wolf. When Lester was 2 years old, the family moved to Uniontown, where his parents started a wheat farm. He graduated from St. Boniface Grade and High School. He married Marie Wittman Nov. 8, 1944, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Uniontown. They farmed at Uniontown until moving to Lewiston in 1999. Lester was affiliated with St. Boniface Catholic Church and school all of his life. He was a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and had served as grand knight. He also helped organize and worked at the annual parish bazaar and sausage feed. In 1955, he received the Washington State Farmer of the Year award. Lester was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Cliff Wolf; and a granddaughter, Malia Tai. Lewiston Tribune July 7, 2004
