Bio
Wayman Hugo Richter, 73, of Cyclone, died Wednesday, May 22, at his home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cyclone with Rev. Walter Matus officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Wayman Hugo was born in Cyclone, Texas, to the late Wayman L. and Loraine (Schneider) Richter. He was a graduate of Rogers High School. Wayman was a retired water plant manager for the city of Temple. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of SPJST Council #24 in Cyclone. Wayman was married to Evelyn Dohnalik Powell. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, of Cyclone; sons, Gary Richter and wife, Tammy, of Salado, and Buster Powell and wife, Lana, of Richmond; daughters, Renee Ralston and husband, Dennis, of Rogers, and Betty Manning and husband, Brandon, of Alexander; adopted son, David Noble; grandchildren, Matthew Richter, Stephen Richter, Brandi Walzel and husband, Heath, Leah M. Powell, Tyler Powell, Kylie Manning, and Kindall Manning; and a great-grandchild.
