Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, June 25, 1964, Page 6, Column 8 Tuesday Services For Mrs. Vodehnal Reverend Graft officiated at Methodist Church services Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Marie Vodehnal, 78, who died at her home in Ord Sunday morning. Mrs. Vodehnal was born in Czechoslovakia, May 17, 1886, and came to the United States at the age of 16 to make her home in Chicago. Later she came to the Comstock community and married John Visek. The had one daughter. After Mr. Visek's death she married Louie Penas in 1929. They made their home on a farm near Ord, later moving into Ord. Mr. Penas died in 1951. In 1952 she was united in marriage with Vincent Vodehnal at Burwell. He died in Ord in November of 1956. Mrs. Vodehnal is survived by two stepdaughters, Mrs. Albert Bazant of Leban, Ore. And Mrs. Joe Blaha of Ord, and three stepsons, Louis Penas, William Penas and Emanuel Vodehnal. All of Ord. Preceding her in death were one daughter and one stepson, Joe Penas and husband, John Visek, Louis Penas Sr, and Vincent Vodehnal. Interment was in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery.
